Rogstaklippen, Torsåker
The Hillfort of Rogstaklippen

This 140-metre crag in Torsåker holds one of Sweden's northernmost known hillforts, raised during the Migration Period around 400–550 AD. The summit is ringed by moss-covered stone walls on the only approachable side; the rest falls away in sheer drops. Rogstaklippen is marked on the Ghost Map for the heavy atmosphere that settles on the old ramparts. Visitors report the distinct sense of being watched from the cliff edge, as if the ancient sentries had never fully abandoned their post.
