English translation
We were traveling together from town, I and another. We were driving. Then I saw a man run off the road and into the woods. It was surely someone who didn't want company. Nothing was said about this right away, but later my companion claimed that he had seen a whole group at that time, and it was impossible to get it out of his head that it was some kind of "apparition."

Vi var i sällskap från stan, jag och en annan. Vi körde. Fick jag så se en karl springa av vägen och in i skogen. Det var säkerligen någon, som ej ville ha sällskap. Det blev ingenting sagt om detta strax, men sedan påstod kamraten, att han sett en hel hop vid det där tillfället, och det gick inte ta ur skallen på honom, att det var något slags "skrömt."
