English translation
They wanted to assert that a group of boys, who were sitting and playing cards in a mountain dairy farm the night before a Sunday, had encountered something supernatural, which frightened them. What it was, they hadn't said, but they had burned the deck of cards and never since participated in card games. But it's been so long ago that I was quite small then.

De ville påstå, att en hop pojkar, som satt och spelade kort i ett fäbodställe natten mot en söndag, hade blivit för någonting övernaturligt, så att de blev rädda. Vad det var, hade det inte talat om, men de hade bränt upp kortleken och aldrig sedan varit med i kortspel. Men det är så länge sen, att jag då var helt liten.
