English translation
The forest between Gallsätter and Nyland has, since ancient times, been considered a true haunted forest. One person there saw a tall, white woman who vanished like a mist. Another saw a headless man there; a third met a person who came riding in a cart without wheels and horse. Finally, there was a sorcerer from Gallsätter, Jakop Jonsson, who barely managed to get through the forest. The shafts fell off three times in a row, and the horse then couldn't manage to pull them forward, even though there were only two people sitting on it. He tugged and pulled with all his might. Such has been the folk tale and belief.

Skogen mellan Gallsätter och Nyland har sedan urtiden varit ansedd som en riktig spökskog. En person har där sett ett stort, vitt fruntimmer som försvunnit som en dimma. En annan såg där en huvudlös man, en tredje mötte en person som kom åkandes i en kärrstol utan hjul och häst. Slutligen var det en trollkarl från Gallsätter, Jakop Jonsson, som inte höll på slippa fram över skogen. Skaklarna föll ifrån tre gånger å rad, och hästen höll sedan inte på orka fram, fast de var bara två personer som satt på. Han släpade och drog av alla krafter. Så har folksägen och tron varit.
