English translation
There was an execution site at Kallbäcken, on the border between Stigsjö and Häggdånger. It has been claimed that many strange things happened there. They are said to have seen visions there, of people lined up in a gauntlet, and the executioner coming forward and beheading the wrongdoer. When the stagecoach traffic passed that way, I heard that people were very fearful of going past there, especially after dark.

Det har varit avrättsplats vid Kallbäcken i gränsen mellan Stigsjö och Häggdånger. De har påstått, att där har varit mycket underligt. De skall ha sett syner där, huru det stått folk uppställt i spetsgård, och skarprättaren har kommit fram och huggit huvudet av missdådaren. Då det var hållskjutstrafiken den där vägen fram, hörde jag, att det var mycket bävande för att fara där förbi, helst sedan det blev mörkt.
