English translation
Between Nätra and Vibyggerå lies Skuleskogen. In ancient times, it was an execution site. People there are said to have often encountered strange things. A farmer was driving his cart along the road there. Then the horse stopped, and it was utterly impossible to make it move. He then unhitched the horse and looked through the holes of the whiffletree. There he saw gruesome things. It was completely full of livestock and people, all headless. When he then hitched the horse again, it was easy to get away.

Mellan Nätra och Vibyggerå ligger Skuleskogen. Där har i forna tider varit avrättsplats. Folk skall där ofta ha blivit ut för konstige ting. En bonde körde där vägen fram. Då stannade hästen, och det var alldeles omöjligt få den iväg. Då spände han ifrån hästen och tittade genom selpinnhålen. Då fick han se hemska ting. Där var alldeles fullt med kreatur och folk, alla huvudlösa. Då han nu spände för igen, gick det bra komma iväg.
