English translation
There was an old boy here in the village, whom we called Pelle Vikström. My old man was often with Pelle, and I didn't like this, because he was such a heavy drinker, Pelle. Then Pelle became ill and died. Well, about a year afterward, when I was in the cowshed one evening, I saw him "walk again." He was completely white and stood leaning against a ladder outside the cowshed. I recognized him so well, for he limped when he moved.

Det var en gammal pojke här i byn, som vi kallade Vikströms Pelle. Gubben min var ofta tillsammans med Pelle, och detta tyckte jag inte om, för han var så svår till att supa, Pelle. Så blev Pelle sjuk och dog. Väl ett år därefter, då jag en kväll var i ladugården, fick jag se honom "gå igen". Han var alldeles vit och stod och stödde sig mot en stege utanför ladugården. Jag kände igen honom så väl, för han haltade, då han rörde på sig.
