English translation
In Attmar a sorcerer was dead, and they were on their way with the body to the churchyard, but the closer they came to the church, the heavier the load seemed to become for the horse, which was sweating profusely. When they were near a hill, the horse stopped and refused to go further, despite lively treatment with the whip. Finally, the driver got out of the cart and walked up to the horse, whereupon he took the bridle, looked through it, and saw the dead man sitting on the hub of one of the front wheels. He roared at him to get off, after which he got back into the cart and reached the destination without further incidents. The man in question also predicted the day of his death, which came true to the minute.

I Attmar var en trollgubbe död, och man var på väg med liket till kyrkogården, men ju närmare man kom kyrkan, desto tyngre föreföll lasset att bli för hästen, som drog sig svettig. Då man var i närheten av en backe, stannade hästen och nekade gå längre, trots livlig traktering av piskan. Till slut steg körkarlen ur vagnen och gick fram till hästen, varvid han tog huvudlaget, kikade genom detta och såg den döde sittande på navet till ett av framhjulen. Han röt åt honom att stiga av, varpå han steg upp i vagnen och nådde utan vidare öden bestämmelseorten. Gubben ifråga förutsade även sin dödsdag, vilket slog in på minuten.
