English translation
By a stream in Attmar parish, on a moonlit winter night, a drunken man saw a group of men sitting bareheaded around a table on the snow, drinking 'kask' (a type of schnapps). At this sight, he sobered up, and from that night on, he never tasted strong drinks again.

Vid en bäck Attmars socken såg en månljus vinternatt en drucken man ett lag karlar, som sutto barhuvade kring ett bord på snön och kaskade. Vid denna syn blev han nykter, och från den natten smakade han ej starka drycker.
