English translation
In a village in Attmar parish lived an old man who, under the influence of drink, was cruel to his wife. On these occasions, she saw a large black dog in his company. And the more the old man swore and cursed at her, the more the dog wagged its tail. The day the old man's remains were carried to the graveyard, she saw the dog follow the hearse. She well understood that it was the Evil One in the guise of a dog.
