English translation
Often, two drivers would simultaneously drive iron to Sundsvall. They would then have a load of iron between them, without a driver. One time, two farmers had set off in this manner. When they reached Hemgrav or Hällsjömoan, they suddenly saw a man in a white shirt and trousers beside the road felling a tree – he was chopping so that the chips flew. It was the middle of the night, and precisely where the road made a bend. The moment they discovered the man, a team came towards them at full speed. The farmer who was driving shouted to his comrade: "Get out of the way. A driver is coming." "I don't need to," shouted the other, who had just seen that the floating team was taking a shortcut over the bend, where the old man stood chopping. At that very moment, the traces came loose for the middle horse, even though they were just driving uphill. The team and the old man disappeared at the same instant. There used to be an old execution site at Hällsjömoarna.

Ofta körde två körare samtidigt med järn till Sundsvall. De hade då mellan sig ett lass med järn utan körkarl. En gång var det två bönder, som hade givit sig iväg på detta sätt. Då de kommo till Hemgrav eller Hällsjömoan, sågo de plötsligt en man i vit skjorta och byxor bredvid vägen och fälla ett träd, - han högg så att flisorna yrde. Det var mitt i natten, och just där vägen gjorde en krök. I det ögonblicket de upptäckte mannen, kom ett spann emot dem i full karriär. Den som körde av bönderna ropade till sin kamrat: - Kör ur vägen. Det kommer en körare. - Det behöver jag inte, ropade den andre, som just såg, att den flytande tog gent över kröken, där gubben stod och högg.
