English translation
It was about 50 years or so ago that the tailor Anders Vestman in Riset died. He had always complained about being so poor and had been believed. Then he died. Afterwards, it became so restless and spooky up in the attic of his cottage. A brother-in-law of his, due to this, took it upon himself to investigate up in the attic. Among other things he found was an old night bag hanging on the ridgepole. He took it and examined it carefully, and then he found 4000 kr. It was wrapped in tailor's scraps – small pieces of cloth that remain when one cuts out garments. Among other things, there were banknotes issued by Sundsvalls Enskilda Bank, which were so old that people didn't believe they had any value anymore, but the bank redeemed them anyway. It was probably Vestman who was stirring and fussing up in the attic with his old treasure. After it was brought to light, no more spookiness was ever heard in that house.

Det var väl en 50 år eller så, sedan skräddaren Anders Vestman i Riset dog. Han har alltid jämrat sig att vara så fattig och hade blivit trodd. Så dog han. Sedan blev det så oroligt och ofrett uppe på vinden i hans stuga. En svåger till honom tog sig i anledning av detta till att undersöka där uppe på vinden. Bland annat, som han hittade, var en gammal nattsäck hängande på kroppåsen. Den tog han och undersökte noga, och då fann han 4000 kr.
