English translation
When my mother's grandfather was dying, he called for my mother several times. But my mother now had a stepmother, and she was afraid that the old man wanted to give my mother something, and therefore she did not tell my mother that he wanted to see her. So he died. Some time thereafter, one evening she thought she saw the old man pass by her, and she regretted so much that she did not speak to him. Perhaps he had something he wanted to reveal.

Då min mammas morfar höll på dö, ropade han på mamma flera gånger. Men nu hade mamma en styvmoder, och hon var rädd, att gubben ville ge henne något, och därför talade hon inte om för mamma, att han ville träffa henne. Så dog han. Någon tid därefter tyckte hon sig en kväll se gubben gå förbi henne, och hon ångrade så mycket, att hon inte tilltalade honom. Kanske hade han något, som han ville yppa.
