English translation
Nordlund's wife's maternal uncle recounted that he once stayed at a place where, at night, an old woman would come in and go up to the fireplace, where she would sift over the embers with a small sieve. She was heard at the door, had tiptoeing steps, etc., but was a ghost.

Morbrodern till Nordlunds hustru berättade, att han en gång låg på ett ställe, varest om natten en gumma kom in och gick fram till spisen, där hon med en liten sikt siktade öfver glöden. Hon hördes i dörren, hade tassande steg o.s.v. men var ett spöke.
