Håkan found no peace in his grave but had to wander ceaselessly. And on Husåsen in Liden, there was a man named Bergström who could speak with the dead. They had to engage him to speak with Håkan. Bergström accepted this mission. So, one Thursday night, Bergström walked towards Liden church. And there he conversed with Håkan. Håkan then revealed that he would get to see his son, who was then working as a farmhand in Liden. And Håkan set a time and day when the son should accompany Bergström, and they would meet. At the appointed time, Bergström brought the son to Håkan to meet his father. When the son saw his father, he fainted, but Bergström continued to converse with Håkan, and Håkan then stated that his son would die on his eighteenth birthday, which also happened. It is told that the son was in the woodshed chopping wood, where he worked. On the same farm, there was a simple-minded or mad person. They assigned this person to tell the boy that he should come in and eat, and that he should bring a load of wood with him. Alright. And as the boy was kneeling to pick up the wood, the mad person grabbed the axe and struck the boy in the head. And he died instantly. This was the son's eighteenth birthday. Then the mad person went inside and sat down at the table and ate his meal. When the boy did not come in, the master and mistress asked where the boy was. Then the same person who had hacked the boy to death replied, "I hacked him to death."
